Call for Wind Players: Fall 2025 Recording Project

Are you an amateur or semi-professional musician who enjoys playing contemporary music in a thoughtful, collaborative setting?

I’m assembling a group to rehearse and record a new piece for piano and double wind octet (two flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, horns, trumpets, and trombones). This will be a non-performance studio-style recording, with two sessions planned in fall 2025, each about two hours long.

This is the first step toward a larger project in 2026: the recording of a chamber cantata based on Walt Whitman’s Crossing Brooklyn Ferry, involving a full mixed ensemble and choir. Fall 2025 is a chance to connect with musicians who might be interested in being part of that future vision.

If you play woodwinds or brass and would like to get involved, or if you know someone who might be interested, I’d love to hear from you.
